Two new UHD players being launched, hopefully high enough quality to fill the Oppo gap. I can't see anything about an Australia launch yet though.

This is great news. More competition the better along with more options/choices to make. I will be interested in these units when available. I hope the uhd disc market never dies out. Nothing worse than relying on an internet connection to view a movie thinking your getting true 4k. Never been interested in relying on Netflix or the like for a big movie night. These disc spinners are the best for quality audio and video. Nothing worse than spending thousands of dollars on a projector and screen and have internet dictating terms as to your quality. Bring it on Reavon, i am waiting.😉

I just spoke to Reavon. Apparently "the product is not ready yet, as we are still working on it".

Interested to know how they got the reviews & testimonials then?

More speculation is these are Zidoo media player innards, with a transport added.

That would have to make sense, they could probably make money where Oppo couldn't if it's a high quality, all singing, all dancing media platform with intuitiuve streaming capabilities that can play a disc also, instead of the other way around.

What would really do it if its zappiti innards would be a capability that oppo once had ie ISO playback . Media players dont toe the hollywood line ; this would be unique 🙈

The on screen interface (media info screen) looks a lot like the Pioneer players.

If it can do what parent company a zapitti does re other features and external subs great. If it is an oppo clone, I'm less interested. Kind of over others just rehashing old tech rather than any actual progress.

 

And if region unlock isn't available, no interest...
