So basically Sound United is going direct in Australia without a distributor. 

 

Qualify was effectively out of business then.

 

Great news - It should mean cheaper prices for these brands as there is no disty adding his margin.

Same here.

 

What is far more likely is that the new distributor will just have a better bottom line, but hey, I would be very happy to be wrong in this case.

For a long time, Denon and Marantz products have been over priced in AU relative to other markets. Yes, QualiFi gave good support but that came at a premium cost. This is turn led to grey imports, which then led to fights.

 

Hopefully, we get to see more reasonable pricing with factory support....
