emesbee 3,201
Couldn't really call this hi-fi, but it does have twin giga-tubes! Probably a transformer robot in ghetto blaster mode. There are cars that look like this (must be a button somewhere.)

emesbee 3,201
I think this brand has already been mentioned (Linkwitz?). This just looks like somebody left the lid up. Would have to be very careful with placement, not too close to the bathroom. 5
Bunno77 1,528
Primare 200 series Parasound, Musical Fidelity and others remotes. I just don't understand how companies still make remotes like this especially when charging 1000s. They look the same as, or worse than those found with a $20 bluray player from the Reject Shop
emesbee 3,201
I certainly agree about Musical Fidelity remotes. They make good products (I have 3 of their amps), but their remotes have a cheap plasticy feel to them, certainly not up to the standard one would expect.
Administrators Marc 12,912 Posted February 20 Administrators Share Posted February 20 We all have different takes on art, and design. Personally, I like what Metaxas has done (maybe the exception of the headphone amp), in pushing the boundaries and breaking away from the rectangular box design of both components and speakers. Kostas has always had a keen interest in industrial design, and I think making hi-fi products is just the means for him to explore the design aspects. I heard the entire "new" range at Munich and made a point of taking the time for extended listening. He's come a long way. But, I also appreciate the style will not appeal to many everyone.
Mutatis Mutandis 183
Wow - there is a lot of ugly about. But how about stuff you actually own and think is ugly? NAD C375BEE, for example. Does lots of things well but looks like it was designed by the second Minsk Tractor Factory in about 1994.

I think his little polished stainless steel-clad integrated from the 90s(?) is one of the nicest-looking pieces of kit around but I just think he’s gone overboard ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ EDIT: This one. I adore it Edited February 20 by RankStranger

I personally don't find that NAD look to be ugly, utilitarian perhaps, but I don't own any NAD gear. Bet they made good tractors in Minsk though (not NAD that is).

ThirdDrawerDown 4,467
Quote . I'll happily own a pair of these. Anything that reminds you of The Muppet Show, one of the best comedies to come out of the USA, is a good thing. Edited to add: not the picture nor Muppets I was looking for, but even so - Edited February 20 by ThirdDrawerDown
