Whats a fair and resonable price?

Recommended Posts

Evening all,

I am looking for advice  on what would be a fair price to ask for an Audio Note CDT Zero Cd transport and separate Audio Note DAC Zero with  valve output .

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on how old they are, the condition, if the original packaging and printed material is included, etc.

If it's not very old and in as-new condition with all the bits and pieces, a little bit of depreciation.

If it's older without the bells and whistles, and evidence of use, it will depreciate more.

If it's much older (ie, very superseded by newer versions), or is not in mint but reasonable condition, it would hold less value.

Unless it's a particular valuable piece, which would depreciate less.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with your items to give exact amounts.  A good way of finding out is to look on the audio marts/classifieds, eBay, etc. for ads for your items and see what they have asked.  Note that sellers don't always make or close a sale at the advertised price.

Just use past and current sales listed on hifishark to get a feel:

Plus of course allowance for freight, insurance duty/tax, handling expenses etc. being the cost to land the unit in Australia.
