Further information:

Note that the Revels are rarely available S/H as people won't part with them.  New ones here

I have owned these for around 8 years (purchased S/H from a chap in QLD) and have really enjoyed them with a variety of electronics. Most of the time was a Krell FPB 600 and Aesthetix Janus preamp + other front end gear. Also worked really well with Ayre MX-R power amps and the same Pre. Vitus RI-300 Ok but overblown in the bass and just lacked something.

The only reason I am looking at changing speakers is that most of the time, I have to live in a flat for work and the room is much smaller than the room I had setup in my home.  I really haven't found many other speakers that (for me) sound better and that includes gear that is much more expensive.

I have included a close up of the discolouration on one bass driver for full disclosure. The has been has always been like this and of course has no effect on the driver. There are no marks on the speakers the lighting the room caused a lot of reflection on the speaker surface (I'm no photographer!)

I do have all of the original boxes and packing and the grills (never used), but some parts of the boxes got damp when stored and were damaged. I have patched these up well enough for moving them (not an easy feat!)

I should be able to deliver these to Melbourne (subject to work commitments and borrowing a mates van to put them in) I have linked  reviews below and there are is plenty of information on the net.

Yes amazing for these!--I compared the Salon 2's using my own "test CD" at a US show with equivalent priced Magico's, YG's, Nolas

--and this model gazumped all those --period!

Seriously impressive and a true Hi End speaker--$13K?--thats a joke pricing:S!!

They would wipe 90% of the speakers on sale here.

Looked for a pair of these  a few years back but came up empty handed for the reasons described, just too popular and went with my big JBL's, absolute bargain here.

Time for a change?? ??

You said they were too big, so would you be interested in trading for something smaller....say,  a kidney perhaps? ?

GLWTS!

Yes I know you said no trades, but....

Serious question, do you need to leave the door open at the back to connect the speaker cables, or can it be removed?

Depends on the cables, the is a large slot for the cable to exit the base, or you can just remove the door unless you have need to cover the terminals.
