Greg Orr
HI I have a sold steel hifi rack . I want to put casters on my rack to make it more mobile. Has anyone any idea what the thread size on soldsteel racks are for casters? Has anyone done this before and know of some good casters that have worked well for them? Dalspec
Bunnings normally have bolt/nut sizing panels like this up in the bolt section. Take along a spike off the rack and screw it into the panel to work out the thread/pitch. By all means check out the caster options in that size at Bunnings while you're there, but also consider a visit to Hare & Forbes, Machineryhouse and the like. They often have sturdier options available.
