@mwhouston I haven't heard from you about the fuse type.

From what I can read on the fuse, I think it is a 2A 250V, and the size is a 5 x 20mm.

I don't know if it is a slow blow or a fast blow. I think I can see an "S" before the 2A so I'm guessing it is slow blow.

The fuse inside both my units is a 4A  slow blow 5x20mm 250v fuse

Made by the legendary Mark Houston of SNA and Melb. Audio Club fame - hope he doesn't mind me using his description!
All mains these days contains some levels of DC current. Most solid state amplifiers and preamp contain toroid transformers. Even a tiny amount of DC will strongly effect toroids and reduce thier ability to work to optimum. They will pass though noise on the mains instead of blocking it. The effective inductance of the Tranni is reduced. It can also cause some to hum or buzz.

The DC Duffer blocks all DC from entering your hifi gear. The blocker also contains a ferrite choke on the mains lead to reduce RFI and a mains filter inside to block RFI/EMI. It is fuse to carry 900W and is a ABS enclosure for safety reasons. The blocker will also stop noise from switch mode power supplies getting into your gear and noise from you gear entering the rest of the house wiring.
I have recently purchased a power conditioner board so no longer require.
