muon* Posted January 10, 2021 Share Posted January 10, 2021 (edited) I use a adhesive shrink over connector and wire in, so that's plenty secure after soldering for me. Bengineer Posted January 10, 2021 Author Share Posted January 10, 2021 I don't typically do it. But some require it, generally due to poor connector design, where heatshrink can't do the job. Some unique headphone connectors are set up in a way that no heatshrink can do the job adequately.
