I think your "market price" of $75 is the price on the US website - out here they're more like AU$130 - 150 but appear to be in short supply at present .

 

I might be persuaded to loan you mine butdepends ....

I was looking for past sales of UMIK-1 on Stereo net and that's approx how much they go for on the 2nd hand market. 

 

If it was a Cross Spectrum Laboratories (CSL) calibrated minidsp umik-1 then the price would likely go upto $130 or more on the 2nd hand market. 

 

Minidsp sells it for $130 shipped with either FedEx or DHL to Aus. They have plenty of UMIK-1 in stock and the shortage is on the updated version the UMIK-2 which uses USB-C. 

 

Happy to be corrected though as there may be a bigger difference between  UMIK-1 and UMIK-2.

It is USD105 which is closer to AUD140 from miniDSP.

 

Not sure what you were looking at, but used ones are going at about the $90 to $100 mark, which is about the typical market price, i.e. 2/3 of new price.
