bob_m_54 Posted January 4, 2021 Share Posted January 4, 2021 (edited) motor brushes (more like wipers than brushes) are not normally replaceable items, you replace the whole motor, but not usually expensive parts if you can source them. But it could be a number of other reasons why it doesn't spin up too. If the laser unit doesn't get focus withing the required time it won't spin up either. So it could be spindle motor, spindle motor drive circuits, or even a bad laser assy, or some other reason. I’ve likely assumed the brushes in the motor as I’ve been informed that is usually the culprit when these units sit in storage.
