This is the original Campfire Audio Solaris, whose fulsome sound some (including John Darko) prefer to the 2020 reboot. Heaps of reviews online so I won't drone on about the sound, which is excellent. It rivals my Shure KSE 1200 electrostatic IEM in some ways (resolution) and surpasses it in others (bass slam, soundstage).

This is a reluctant sale and I might well regret it. Selling it because I am downsizing/rationalising and feel that I only *need* two pairs of IEMs: a mobile pair (just got the Etymotic ER4XR) and a stationary pair for critical listening (the Shure KSE 1200). Letting go of the Solaris because to do it justice I would need a higher quality amp and the ergonomics of the Shure work best for where I do my most of my critical listening (in bed--I am lazy).

I am the second owner Bought it from a fellow SNA'r in November 2020 and I have used them lightly since then. Probably about 15-20 hours total on my end. Both myself and the previous owner have babied them. Not a scratch or mark on them. I am including all the original packaging, documentation, and accessories (nice case, two protective sleeves, cleaning tool, and the CA pin).  It also includes nearly all of the tips that shipped with it (unused of course). I am tossing in a pair of small and medium triple flanges that I bought to go with them. I used the large size to accommodate my elephant ears and I am not including those for hygienic reasons.

These are selling right now on A2A for $2899, so I feel this price is very reasonable given their excellent condition.

Thanks. I bought it originally from a very nice fellow for a quite reasonable $1300; I figured I would knock a little bit off the price to account for them having another owner. Like the original owner, I'm certainly not trying to profit, just find them a good new home.

Oh yeah folks, I forgot to add: I have an ifi IEMatch (the 3.5mm version) that I would be happy to offer with this at modest cost. You really do need one to tame hiss from most sources.

Another weird thing I've discovered with the Solaris: despite its sensitivity, that dynamic driver really likes power! I couldn't believe how the bass transformed when I added a low-power amp to my portable source.
