Christmas albums

Recommended Posts

It’s the festive season, so a great time to drag out those Christmas albums and add some cheer to the world by spinning some XMas ? tunes.  Some great songs on this album, which is well pressed very good sq coloured (including clear) vinyl to boot!

For something a bit different ... a new release by the Swedish Power Metal band Majestica called a Christmas Carrol which is based on the story of Ebeneezer Scrooge.

I don't mind me a Christmas album. The wife is a big fan of Carols/Songs most mornings (Dec 1 - Dec 25) before heading to work, so its my job to compile a decent playlist. At the moment, both of these albums stand by themselves.

The Hawaiian compilation gives a summery feel (as opposed to all the snow and cold) and She & Him provide something different.

Both are on Tidal (no LPs as yet) ?

Here is a playlist of some of my picks over the years,

Calypso, Surf Rock, Boom Bap, Soul Jazz

A little all over the place but some great albums.

Need to track them all down in Tidal now

They are easy to find on Discogs ?

Oh! I've only ever used it (Discogs) as a reference. Didn't think of buying from there!
