(Solved)[Advice needed] Amp that will pair well with old JBL speaker

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I need advice on purchasing a new amplifier that will pair well with old JBL. Due to moving from a house to a small apartment, I needed to downsize my audio equipment. Currently, looking for a small amp that will fit on a desk. My budget is around 1200 dollars. What I have in mind are shoe box size amp like something like Naim NAP 100, NAD 3045 or something in similar size. I'm being offer for a Cyrus 3 amp for not much money but I know nothing about Cyrus. I got my eyes set on a used NAP 100 within my budget but unfortunately I was too slow and it was sold.

Current setup:

AMP: Marantz PM6005

Speakers: JBL L19 and Cabasse Minorca MC40

Dac: Aune x1s

Source: Tidal

Or that one. It's not better than Rega and it's more expensive but it looks nice.

The other option - active speakers.

This one do looks nice and It's a Marantz too. But the cheapest one I could find is 1500 so that's out of my budget.
