A singular path in audiophile jungle :)

Hi, i am living in the south of France in Montpellier and while trying to find some informations about my next dac ayon stratos (i am coming from a stealth unit that i truly love) i found this site and i am willing to discover new horizons here, maybe will i discover some new stuff that we don t know in france ;) ?

As a musician willing to find a natural and alive like system i decided to ask the conceptor of these wonderful speakers http://ebenisterie-musique.fr/Docs/Lembda Piel.pdf to relaunch them and i became friend with deigner so i am now a "listening point " -as a friend not as a commercial-in the south of France for EBM speakers which are made around large bandwidth speakers by Michel Fertin really famous in France ...and Japan !

Emmanuel Boutry is certainly the best specialist we have in France for maximising the overwhelming charm of those speakers erasing some common defaults some can reproach with that kind of speakers . If you have the chance to listen to those Lemda or L5 speakers don't hesitate a second, the rendering is so alive that it is difficult to listen to other speakers after you have experienced EBM . https://www.facebook.com/L5byEBM/?view_public_for=102301064926272

Welcome, David.

I looked at the links you provided ... are these not single-driver, so-called "full range " box spkrs?

If so ... unless they deliver <20Hz to >20kHz ... they are not really "full range ".  :(

If they don't have that frequ range ... I'm sure they provide a good sound within their limits - but don't confuse this with the requirement for additional drivers to extend what they do deliver to what we like to listen to.

Hi sorry for the time to answer , Ebm uses Michel Fertin's EMS speakers which are quite famous in France and Japan, you can find specifications on their website.

The L5 speakers use a 21 cm EMS and another "compression chamber"(don't know if this is the right word in English) speaker for high frequencies.
