I have this exact model with intentions on replacing it with an LG CX OLED in my study for the new PS5, though if it weren't for HDMI 2.1, I simply would not replace it as visually it's amazing. It's so good that I might even move it to the bedroom. All these years later they're still running strong without a single issue.

Finally sold mine to get the 65GZ1000 Panasonic Oled....hopefully a worthy replacement. Still have the 65ST60 Panasonic Plasma in another room. Best of both worlds with a 110" screen dropping down in front of the Oled when watching movies on the projector.

I bought my pioneer kuro in 2009...the last one in Sydney I am led to believe. Few other LED TVs have come and gone since then...but the pioneer has stayed. The very best in plasma tech.

Hard to believe there are still so many of these dinosaurs still in existence.  I've also got the exact same model bought new.  It cost me $6200 for $6200, which at the time was an absolute bargain.  It has literally not missed a beat since it arrived and was put on the wall. I recently took it off the wall when house was repainted and decided not to put it back, instead going for an Optoma P2 UST projector and a Vividstorm S-Pro  ALR Screen.  Still not so sure I did the right thing.  Thinking it'll have to go in the bedroom.  It's been to honest and reliable to scrap it or give it away to someone who has no respect for something that was made based on what was the best tech at the time regardless of the cost.

Hard to believe someone would actually buy such an old set. Everyone wants a 'Smart TV' these days..

I used to be one of 3 "kuro plasma" specialists but just a fancy name for demo rep for these bad boys.

might have told this story before, but was demoing these babies around the "white collar" arena in airport lounges, first class lounges and high end a/v stores.

I so deseperately wanted one of these plasmas but my tiny casual wage hours didnt support it.

now, this is for sale in QLD and not VIC.

I am crying.

Item Condition: Used Shipping Options: Pickup available and you can audition. Suburb or Town: Melbourne State: VIC Payment Method: Cash, eft, PayPal Reason for selling: No longer required I’m selling a lovely vintage Pioneer SA-8500 MK-II Stereo Amplifier.

      Made in Japan

      240v model

Dual transformer design - The sound signature is typical Pioneer of the period sporting a wonderful analogue experience

      Specifications below thanks to www.hifiengine.com

Power output: 60 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo)

      Dimensions: 420 x 150 x 376mm

      Weight: 13.9kg

The amplifier works as it should on both channels and on all inputs - bias is set to factory spec and the amp has had all its electrolytic capacitors replaced excluding the original power supply capacitors. All controls have been cleaned for smooth and quiet operation. Original NEC output transistors in place.

Presented in very good cosmetic condition with minor imperfections in line with its age - the lid has some surface rust and serial number engraved I was going to get this powder coated but opted to keep original to let the new owner decide to leave it or have it repainted to their desired colour.

Overall presents very nice but most importantly sounds wonderful.

Melbourne pick up only due to the size and weight of this amp

A donation will made to stereo net post the sale

This vintage Pioneer SX-750 receiver is from the iconic period of silver faced receivers of the 70s. I am the original owner from 1976.

When released it was an upper mid range receiver putting out a solid 50 watts per channel at 0.1% total harmonic distortion. Heaps of features including a nice phono. The performance of the SX-750 is not that far off from the flagship SX-1250 with the exception of power output.

It is in very good condition for its age with a just a few very minor marks and tiny lifting of veneer. The casing appears to be a couple of mm off which I’m sure can be adjusted. The photos clearly show the receiver is in very good condition.

      Specifications:
Power Output: 50 wats per channel into 8ohms
      Two tape inputs/outputs
      Duplicate switch
      Phono input
      Aux/mic inputs
      Tone & High filter switches
      FM muting
      Tuning & Signal meters
      Bass & Treble controls
      Dimensions: 480x149x371mm
      Weight: 13.7kg

As I don’t have the box this Receiver is Pickup Only, sorry.
