Moderators alistairm 3,200 Posted October 30, 2020 Moderators Share Posted October 30, 2020 Having been through many DACs at many price points, the APL is now in my system. It is, quite comfortably, the best sounding DAC for my taste in my system that I have heard. I'm very keen to hear the DSD-MR MK2. Anyway, without wanting to start a dig v analogue debate, or get too far into "reviewing", I can say that if you're shopping in any price point for a DAC and you've previously struggled to find something that approaches the expression of your analogue setup, this small Bulgarian brand is well worth an audition.
dalamii 310
I was interest on this brand as well, I heard even their entry level sound very good already, Just quick question, can the DSD SR Mk2 use as pre amp and accept wifi?
Moderators alistairm 3,200 Posted November 3, 2020 Author Moderators Share Posted November 3, 2020 @dalamii It has volume control, so could be used as a preamp. However, it has no networking capability at all. I am currently running it from an Antipodes, but have just ordered an APL DNP-SR streamer (which appears to be a modified Auralic Aries), based on how happy I am with the DAC.
DanFi 64
This is nice to know. Emm labs always seems at similar price points. Been through one of their DACs?
