Buying from StereoNET Asia Classifieds?

I doubt it yet. @petetherock has been a member of both sites though for a long time so may be able to offer some insight.

We have only just implemented the Trader Feedback on SN Asia, so that will also take some time to work its magic.

Just wondering if anyone on SN Aus has purchased anything from SN Asia ?

Shipping will be your main issue.

I might add that you may want to stay AWAY from the Asian site ;)

Prices are quite 'different' shall we say in Asia... you might be come disillusioned...

I can't find my old sticky on shipping to Oz thread... maybe Marc can find it..

TVs are cheap in Oz, but the other stuff can be considerably cheaper, especially the Asian brands like Marantz...

If members in Oz start comparing prices, you may see more white anting or comments which don't help the sellers IMO...

That one has your name all over it 😉

Unfortunate my offer was declined.Regarding buying off SNA Asia would be as safe as Gumtree! Buying off long term xtremeplace sg members and phone contact would be advised. As for shipping using FedEx to your door from Singapore is no problem.Double check supply voltage as you do get 220V products..

Remember to consider :

the item may be working well prior to shipping, but if it’s dead on arrival what happens?

settle payment methods and all shipping and any insurance costs

tax and custom charges

I agree you need to consider all aspects when buying overseas. In the 70s I remember the stories of buying from shops in Singapore only to find a house brick when you get home ...😄   "Caveat Emptor"

Would there be any issues selling on SN Asia ?

Not right at this time, but like this site where we restrict ads to ANZ, we will likely implement a similar rule on SN Asia to restrict ads from SE.Asia in due course.

You may need to add a currency dominator soon... and maybe a caveat that prices can differ in different continents...  :)

Very good points.
