Pegasus
My PS Audio NuWave DAC lost it's USB connection with my desktop PC following a power outage. It's optical and coaxial connections still work fine. It's definitely the DAC at fault as I've tried it with other PCs - still no USB connection. I have also plugged a spare DAC into my desktop PC - USB connection restored. I emailed the service department at PS Audio in the States several days ago but have not received a reply. I'm hoping a fellow inmate here on SNA can direct me to a authorised repairer, preferable here in Queensland (Brisbane).
BugPowderDust
When you work out what's wrong, don't be afraid to send the bill to your electrical utility provider. If your repairer states that the issue was a result of the power outage / surge etc, they will reimburse you for the cost.
sakabatou
Assuming it was an Australian purchase, you might have a quicker reply contacting Magenta, the Australian distributor. https://magentaaudio.com.au/
Pegasus
Thanks for the info. I've emailed Magenta and they have rung me back. It's now a question of board replacement and whether the parts are available from PS Audio in the US.
AFCAD
For what it's worth, I found Magenta great to deal with for repairing my PS audio P5 following a recent power surge (fallen power lines). Magenta organised courier both ways so near zero hassles. I'm in the process of seeking reimbursement through my power supplier at the moment...
