Further information:

This Modulus 3A was fully reconditioned by the manufacturer in 2011. Comes with comprehensive manuals, schematics and original AI box. Current upgraded tubes Russian NOS 6N23P-EB made in Reflektor factory are in very good condition, but I will supply five sonically superior spare tubes - Russian NOS 6N23P made in Voskhod factory.

Modulus is well-known for natural sound and outstanding 3D soundstage. Audible Illusions is widely regarded as a reference tube pre-amplifier.  Tape output buffer designed by famous John Curl. 120V – requires step-down  transformer. I am selling on Stereonet Airlink (made in the UK) balanced power supply/transformer (2 in 1) 230V to 120V. Balanced power supply makes noticeable sonic difference - more detailed and vibrant sound.  Audible Illusions designed and crafted in the USA and sold directly by the manufacturer. Current model Modulus 3B cost $5495 USD, plus add some 30% for so called “global” shipping to Australia, insurance, import fees, tax and customs fees (all fees apply to used electronics as well) – total $7143 USD which equals to $9940 AUD.

In the Audio Review, there are over 40 users reviews with a average rating of 4.7/ 5 – exceptional.

Dick Olsher, The Absolute Sound (2016): “The L3A line preamp [cheaper version without phono section] distills the best attributes of modern tube sound: swift transients, a detailed presentation, and natural yet non-euphonic textures. It is its insistence on the sonic truth that defines it as a true reference line preamp. The L3A’s ability to retrieve the music’s rhythmic drive and drama make it one of the most sonically persuasive line preamps on the market and one of the best I’ve auditioned over the years at any price.”

The audiophile guru Arthur Salvatore noted in his list of reference components: "[Modulus] 3 may still be the finest preamplifier with phono available today for the money".

Georgehifi, Australian designer of renown “Lightspeed Attenuator”, noted: “The AI 3A is one of the best pre’s I’ve heard”.

The photo you posted does not seem to have the John Curl MC boards as seen in attached photo, gold boards bottom right

I definitely have seen reference to John Curl MC in Modulus 3A somewhere.  Maybe Modulus 3A has different versions of MCs?  Or different location on the board? What is location of MC board in the photo? All I know that this model has outstanding and highly appraised everywhere phono stage with two dedicated tubes. Anyway, thank you for your very valuable input - I removed the reference to John Curl MC.

Yes as the poster stated this Unit does not have the  Curl Gold LOMC Boards-at the time a $5/600 USD Extra. However you are correct

in noting Johns involvement elsewhere --namely the Tape output buffer is his work.

Item Condition: Excellent Shipping Options: Pickup available and you can audition.,Shipping is available at agreed cost. Suburb or Town: Maddington State: WA Payment Method: EFT, Cash On Pickup Reason for selling: Back to valve amplifier Further information: Purchased 30/06/2020 from Sublime Hifi, Perth.
These have 280hrs logged. In ATC land, that's not considered fully run in yet.
In unmarked condition, cabinets will continue to darken over time. Functioning flawlessly.
Dust covers are always on the speakers while they wait for the next session.

      Specifications

Dimensions (HxWxD): 980 x 370 x 344mm (inc. foot plinth & amp, spikes add 25mm to height, grill adds 34mm to depth)
      Weight: 31kg

If I had never fallen in love with valves then these would be keepers. The ease of delivery and lack of strain at higher volume is a huge asset. I've marvelled at what those midbass drivers can do and the sealed cabinets make such tight, accurate and musical bass.
There's no such thing as fatigue, I have regularly enjoyed 5-6-7 and even a couple of 12 hour sessions.
But I've auditioned and purchased my next pair of speakers, dusted off the Cymer KT88 amp and, in spite of feeling a bit conflicted (and a tad self conscious), I am putting the 19's up for sale.
All packaging, manuals, power cords etc. Happy to co-operate with interstate buyers for assistance with shipping but would prefer buyer to arrange freight.
I can deliver anywhere in Perth metro via the trusty ute. Local members who are genuinely interested are welcome to inspect and audition.
Happy to supply more pics via pm for serious buyers.
      Packaging dimensions: 109cm x 47cm x 41cm. 34kg per carton.
      Please PM any questions.

This adapter converts 2.5mm balanced plug into 3.5mm single ended so you can use balanced cables with regular headphone jacks.

The majority of ones in-store retail for around $80 (Mindisc etc)

I no longer need it and would rather put the money towards a new keyboard.

Silclear by Mapleshade. You will need your own applicator brush. This is an almost full jar.

Apply Silclear on any high-touted, gold-plated connector and you'll immediately get an improvement in picture and/or sound quality. We recommend applying the thinnest possible coating for best performance, which will last for 10 to 20 unpluggings. Sells in the US for US$39. Postage is extra.
