Thanks guys. Being in an apartment complex these have not received the usage they deserve. Considered putting them away in storage for future use but who knows when I'll be able to move into a house with a large living room.....

Any source with XLR/RCA outputs (with volume control) can be connected.

I currently run them with a T&A DAC 8 DSD that has volume control. Will list that for sale too if buyer is interested.

Two in a week.

This site never ceases to surprise.

I don't suppose SGR supple measurements, or they've been reviewed by someone who does?

I believe SGR can provide the measurements. I normally deal with Stuart and he is always super helpful.

To other owners - do you remember how these were delivered in the crates? From recollection they were just lowered down on the lifts at the back of the delivery truck and rolled in (the crates that the speakers came in had wheels). Is this correct?

Hi guys, as expected there have been a lot of interest in these speakers. There is a potential buyer however the suggest payment method is via Paypal.

I have not used Paypal for any large transactions before and I'm a little concerned. Just wanted to ask if anyone has had experiences with Paypal payments and is there anything I should watch out for?

Thank you!

DO NOT sell the T&A DAC8 DSD!!! Not under any circumstances. Ever.

Been there and done that.     Only the Kii 3's could pries the CX4F out of my cold dead hands.    Love SGR, Love Stuart and his family.   A truly mighty Australian conceived, designed and built product.

At this price, Minute is giving them away.

If they are really interest the buyers will simply undertake an Internet Bank Transfer.    Easy peasy.

Regards Cazzesman

It never crossed my mind previously to let these go however I wouldn't have a use for them if I'll be using the TV speakers.... I was lucky I made 2 great choices re the DAC and speakers

Thanks Cazzesman! I do agree. Ever since I ended up with the SGRs and T&A DAC8, the upgrade bug disappeared :D Saved me a lot of money in terms of chasing the dream

Do a search on paypal scans either here on.sna or on the net and make sure you are 1000% happy first

I did just that moments ago and it does seem a little risky for sellers. Buyer has 100% good feedback here on SNA though but this is a large sum of money for me so will ask for a bank transfer.

I haven't been active on these forums lately and have forgotten how helpful/kind people are on SNA. God bless

PayPal as a trusted friend is ok. Normal PayPal can be a problem for a seller not just because of the fee but if buyer changes their mind and claims issues etc. you may have to refund and pay to get the speakers back.

I've used Paypal for years, often on big ticket items.

Paypal usually err on the side of the buyer if there are issues, but I've not had any problems.

The biggest issue would be that Paypal charge a 2.9% fee, so around $400.

Probably worth doing a bank transfer just for that.

People tell me that even bank deposits can be reversed in you get to them in 48 hours... and I'm guessing that would be in case you entered the wrong account number. For a significant amount of money I'd probably use an escrow service or the bank deposit idea with little delay for funds to settle. I hate Paypal with a passion and there are numerous vectors for scams, including false e-mail confirmations, e-cheques, getting things shipped to a different address and then claiming they didn't arrive at your Paypal address, swapping things with identical models that don't work and returning them etc.

Why would you buy something like this without viewing? You wouldn't, so while viewing, pay and pick up.

I wouldn't be doing Paypal. Not for that money. I do everything i can to avoid paypal.

To be fair, your asking price seems more than reasonable. If the buyer really wants them, you should dictate your terms, and terms which provide you the most safety. If the purchaser is not happy with that, sell them to the next in line.

HI 'Minute'

There is a company called escrow.com that just set up in Australia last yr (according to google) that u could try.

It does make sense to use an escrow considering that ur selling such a big sales item.   His a link to escrow services

https://www.lifehacker.com.au/2019/09/what-is-escrow-and-when-is-it-necessary/

and this one is to do with escrow.com

https://www.escrow.com/news/articles/escrow_com_launches_in_australia

Good luck with your sale

Btw Great value for the $ to whoever is considering these speakers

A bank cheque can be cancelled but a  cash deposit is king.

Hi Yamaha_man. I just saw you also have the SGRs listed. Big kudos to you for being a gentleman regarding this sale and I hope I didn't take away any interest from your listing.

Yeah, when I sold my car my bank told me they can't reverse a direct deposit. Especially across banks. It also kicks off a process, and is not automatically reversed on someone's say so.

Thanks. I don't want to muddy the thread for these fine speakers so I'll move my questioning to the speaker forum.

All good mate, I had an offer close to your asking price, which I declined.

i assume that’s your buyer, he’s got himself a MASSIVE bargain.
