bryansamui
Eddie Van Halen, the World's most influential guitar player since 1978 has died of throat cancer aged 65. Has been battling cancer for 10 years. He was a very heavy smoker albeit he attributed it to a metal guitar pick he used to put in his mouth.. RIP Eddie Van Halen Edited October 6, 2020 by bryansamui
bryansamui
World's most influential guitarist Since 1978. He sold more guitars for my guitar shop than any player by a mile... Everyone wanted a 'FrankenStrat' Guitar. Edited October 6, 2020 by bryansamui

ArthurDent
Sad news. One of my favorite bands (original lineup) and he sure could play guitar. I might have to dust off "Van Halen" and annoy the neighbours

Guest
Started listening to Van Halen in 1980. I first saw them live in Hawaii in 1992 - that was one magnificent night with Eddie up front and magic. Followed them religiously ever since.
