Suburb or Town: Ivanhoe East State: Victoria Payment Method: Cash, Bank Transfer or Paypal Reason for selling: Selling for a friend who has upgraded Further information: PMC Twenty.24 Transmission Line Speakers in Beautiful Walnut Finish. This brand and model should need no introduction, with glowing reviews everywhere. Second from the top of this Series, with substantial but tight bass from the 3m "ATL" (Advanced Transmission Line), larger 170mm bass/mid driver and heavy enclosures with bi-wiring capability, RRP was $7999. Sensitivity of 90dB makes them easy to drive and they can work well near a rear wall. All drivers, cabinets, spikes and grilles are in perfect condition, with the exception of a couple of tiny cabinet marks which are just visible close up under certain light conditions. Would suit a new buyer. I'd love to be able to show off and demonstrate these speakers for a local buyer, but under current lockdown restrictions it's not legally possible. Please excuse my amateurish photos, which don't do justice to the quality of finish and beauty of the walnut grain. I guarantee that an interstate or local buyer will be delighted with the condition of these speakers. They are a bargain for a PMC lover! Donation to SNA on sale. dreadly
This is too much! would these little darlings be overkill for a 4.1 deep x 5.2 wide metre room with a couch etc etc? I have bookshelves at the moment(which i am getting bored of) ,but i have always lusted after these, such easily driven speakers with incredible pedigree! My room was pretty much the same size (4.5x5).
Audionerd
Hi Chris and John The bass in this model is punchy and extended, but still tight, making them very versatile with location. At present they're working fine in a room only 3.1m wide x 5.4m deep, but they didn't get lost in my largest studio which is more than twice the volume. This is mainly due to their ability to generate an open soundstage. Edited October 5, 2020 by Audionerd
