AC/DC: Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap.

Angus sounds pretty freakin good on the Supratek- even on CD without the phono stage. I've got neighbours, damn it.

The Beasts ‎– Still Here. Bang Records. new Beasts of Bourbon album on vinyl - sounds pretty good and its a excellent album.  They were great live on the weekend as well with Kim and Charlie having great guitar interplay.

Hi spinners. I've got a lfew days off, with a little more music time. IHave been going through some old SIMPLE MIMDS albums of late and just listened to STREET FIGHTING YEARS from 1989 on CD. This is one fantastic album

A few highlights include a cameo appearance from Lou Reed, and a lovely version of Peter Gabriel's song BIKO,  But generally the whole album is a smasher.

Old and crackly, but still nice. Like me on a good day.

NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS: PUSH THE SKY AWAY (LP, 2012).

I love that kinda stuff. Its also well recorded/produced/kinda stuff. One of those albums that grabs my attention. Maybe not the best when there is  housework or something else to do. What the hey, hang the expense, time to burn here.

Interesting cover, like Bowie's 'Cracked Actor' routine. Perhaps Shakespeare deserves a mention, too.

This album is obviously prog with the expected technical aspects delivered perfectly, but to me it seems simplified compared to their previous stuff, which seems to produce a more coherent album, really enjoying it still after 20+ listens.

A special kind of 60's cool.....The Loved Ones 'Magic Box'.

They had one of Australia's best ever rock/blues singers, Gerry Humphries (who was actually English😄.....darn it, weren't they always in the 60's?!!), and just to demonstrate how cool they were (and Gerry's kickass vocals👌), check this......
