hired goon 5,707
Songs:Ohia - Travels In Constants - one for @metal beat ... an EP from the late Jason Molina, back in the day, part of a series of experimental EPs on the Temporary Residence label. The first track is a 17min acoustic howl, second track is a 13 min organ/guitar piece. Available as 24/96 FLAC. "Name Yer Price" lossless download for today only. --Geoff

djmt 557
The house band at D.C.'s 18th street lounge. Led by Eric Hilton who later went on to form Thievery Corporation with Rob Garza. IMO this album would have been the better path to take, though probably far less profitable.

metal beat 19,340
L'épée – Diabolique - sort of like a French Indy supergroup with French singer, singing in French Emmanuelle Seigner (Ultra Orange & Emmanuelle) and Anton Newcombe (The Brian Jonestown Massacre) and Lionel & Marie Limiñana (The Limiñanas). pretty cool. awayward 2,359
Joe Bonamassa- Royal Tea, released today, I have tried to like Joe’s music, but it usually disappoints, this new album has better song writing and some nice variation, I enjoyed my first spin.

hired goon 5,707
Steve Roach - Tomorrow -- latest from the prolific Mr Roach ... this one is chockers with sequencers and spiralling rhythms. "Name Yer Price" lossless download from Bandcamp. --Geoff

BuzzzFuzzz 3,817
Loving the new look... darkmode is pretty cool. Giving my new JBL 4301B's a good workout with a hi-res copy... Tool 'Fear Innoculum' Running through the Optonica amp, which I normally use with the loudness function on... not needed tonight. My first impression of these speakers was a little light in the bottom end, understandable for a mid sized, two way. I have them sitting higher than I normally would, with the bass driver at ear level. I'm not sure how they would be positioned in the studio, maybe even horizontally, up high and angled down? Plenty of beef with this recording, punchy and detailed... very nice.

hired goon 5,707
Rachel Grimes - The Clearing -- solo album from former pianist and composer from avante-classical chamber group Rachel's, whose Music For Egon Schiele album was a personal fave for many a year. This album mines similar territory of piano-based neoclassical tunes but with a more experimental flavour (including ambient artists Loscil adding some sound design). Noice.
