Bluesfest might be cancelled

Very sad

But I can still have one in my garage

With beer and better bands

And no mud

Not that I’ve ever been to a Bluesfest without mud

And I’ve been to lot

Will make a lot of locals happy, I say that having been a local once :D

Streets full of drunks, some wandering into ya' home uninvited at night!

Well, spinning and watching at least.......Midnight Oil: Armistice Day Live at the Domain, on bluray last night. Just a great concert, SQ is superb, performances superb, Garrett manic, Bones sublime, Rob repeatedly breaking drumsticks from sheer exuberance, Jim and Martin on song as usual......

I got 40 odd minutes in, thinking 'how good does this sound?!' when I realised I was listening to the stereo mix. It is phenomenal! I switched to the 5.1 and realised that the rears are mainly crowd noise and that the overall music SQ did not improve, so I went back to the stereo mix. Basically, if you want the full 'music and crowd' concert experience, listen to the 5.1 mix, if you want to concentrate on the music, stay with the stereo mix. The crowd is still there, just not at the forefront of the mix. It's bloody great!!
