Wishbone Ash "The Very Best Live At Geneva" 2013 German pressing (my copy thankfully doesn't have that awful Silver Star logo on the cover!). Actual concert was in 1995 at the 'Heroes Of Rock' festival.

Wishbone Ash "40 Live In London" 2009 German pressing. Great concert (excerpts at least)! Their pioneering twin lead guitar attack was legendary!

Two examples of the joy to be found on this LP (the first one fades out about a minute from the end for some reason!).

I have his Stepping Stones double CD. Luckily for me he has separated the bloody awful American rap he includes on so many tracks from the instrumental ones. I play that disc exclusively and consider that to be worth the cost of the album.

Jaku's a pretty good album as is Ki-Oku with Japanese jazz trumpeter Toshinori Kondo.

Thanks @mrbuzzardstubble do either have the dreaded gangster rap? I don't seem to mind some older UK rap (I have Tricky, Roots Manouvre, Massive Attack etc.) but almost all from that side of the pond is a huge turn-off.

There's a couple of rap tunes on Jaku and Ki-Oku is jazz.

Aesop Rock on Jaku

Ki-Oku

Not really my style at all but...your getting stuck in your ways and a few steps away from caricature if you don't explore and take a step outside your comfort zone now and again, that might be Led Zep and PF or Kinda Blue or Mahler's fifth or whatever.

This isn't half bad. Always like the background beat that runs through good rap. I don't have the ears for the lyrics but I do for the way that basic, the beginning rhythm controls everything that comes as you listen. Could be as simple as a four bar beat on the bass.

Actually this album is almost worth studying just for it's light on African American observations of their life in the US.

Politics aside...Crunk is Dead is a great track.
