Paul Porky
The Dissociatives Self titled collaboration between Paul Mac and Silverchair’s Daniel Johns. An interesting mix of melodic electro pop. This album came in between Diorama and Young Modern with some of the influences from this album on the latter. Daniel Johns has had a mixed carreer since leaving Silverchair and his interview with Andrew Denton is quite an eye opener. jazzdog@groovemasters
Elton John, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Mercury 528 159-2 Elton John The Classic Years, CD, Album, Remastered Australia. Haven't listened to this album in many decades. While not an EJ fan per se, this album surely has to be one of the iconic albums of the 1970s. Definitely worth revisiting.

keyse1
This record was so unpopular in 1974 that the record label deleted it in 1976 from their catalogue Now considered a “classic” country rock record and his finest record its failure contributed to His drug and alcohol problems A great songwriter singer and founding member of The Byrds he was a mainstay of the late 60’s and 70’s LA music scene

Paul Porky
Tim Hart - The Narrow Corner Seems to be a bit of a theme today, solo efforts from band members. The Boy and Bear drummer doesn’t stray too far from his roots here with enough twists to keep it interesting. An enjoyable album. BuzzzFuzzz
Ahoy Lads. Received a nice package of digital files from a fellow member recently. A bit of a mixed bag over the weekend,,, KISS 'Sonic Boom' 2009 KISS Records. Roadrunner Records. Disc 02 - Re-works of earlier material with current line-up. Not too bad, pretty close to the originals with better production. Kate Bush 'The Dreaming' 1982 EMI Records. Fast becoming one of my favourite artists. Just "out there" enough to keep me very interested. Seven or eight new (for me) albums on the hard drive to explore. Black Cab 'Jesus East' Inertia Records. Mushroom Music, Aust. CD. Growing on me with each listen. Deftones 'Gore' 2016 Reprise Records. First listen to this album in an ever growing Deftones collection. Katatonia 'The Great Cold Distance' 2006 Peaceville Records. This one really took me by surprise. It wasn't labelled correctly and was expecting Black Metal by Darkthrone. This is the album I will be having a concentrated listen to in the sweet spot next. The Cruel Sea 'Three Legged Dog' 1995 Red Eye Records. Polydor Records, Aust. Roger Waters 'Amused to Death' 1992 Columbia Records. Really enjoyed this on my first ever listen. ... and have played this one a few times now... loving it... Sigur-Ros 2002 Fat Cat Records. MCA Records. CD.
Monk
Man, I'm loving this band's music. Although their older stuff seems to be more proggy (maybe? perhaps) and stoner than psychy or spacey. But damn it's fitting my groove at the moment. https://monkey-3.bandcamp.com/album/astra-symmetry
