My Pogues start to the night came from "And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda".  For tomorrow.  I really like their version.  I have not heard Hell's Ditch....your thoughts?

Hell's Ditch is maybe a little more laid back and instrumental than Rum, Sodomy and the Lash. It still has Shane McGowan's vocals and that big Irish folk/rock band with him. You can't go wrong.

DO RE MI: DOMESTIC HARMONY (LP, 1985 Virgin Australia).

That's  a well recorded album. No 180gm Audiophile s**t, it actually feels like about half that.

Movie about 70s punk rock to 90s rave party culture in Manchester.  I was very much a Joy Division and New Order fan back then.

Fantastic movie about Madchester and music. I used to watch Anthony Wilson every friday evening on Granada reports. We always thought he was a bit of a tosser. How wrong we were......

Recently came across this whilst reading a speaker review. Fantastic live album recorded in venues across Europe. Fantastic sound quality. A little City and Colour like. CD came with an 80 page book.
Cheers

Have been a fan of Fink since seeing them in the Spiegeltent about 9 years ago. A favourite album of mine is Biscuits for breakfast, a bluesy acoustic gem.

Eric Clapton: lLive in San Diego (CD) .

I find that any album where JJ Cale and Clapton are together.contains some magical guitar work. They seem to push each other to another level. This was my late nightcap. IMG_20190425_090446.thumb.jpg.a5c1e2b6ccbfe1656adf2480b1975f20.jpg

Roy Orbison: Black and White Night (CD).

I'm currently listening to the Big O with some famous guests. What a nice morning album.IMG_20190425_090358.thumb.jpg.2a04c44295c4c68d90954d1850f35ffc.jpg

Johnny Cash: American Recordings.

Bob Dylan: World Gone Wrong.

What a spectacular lineup of LPs from two famous friends. Maybe I'm easy pleased, but this makes me happy.

NICK CAVE ON 33 and 45RPM. I'm not sure I'll get through 2 EPs and one of those half speed recorded LPs on 33, but I'm gonna give it a shake.

Destroyer - Kaputt

80’s inspired music. Love the build up to Suicide Demo for Kara Walker
