BuzzzFuzzz
Lou Reed 'Live' 1981 RCA Record Division. Yet another great sounding Record. A second disc with more of the gig would have been worthwhile, far too short for such a great and detailed performance. I just love a respectful 'live' audience that gives the music more room.

stevoz
While I dearly wish my TT was a goer, I am quite enjoying the less frequent getting up off my chair to change sides with CD's. Now onto this gem of an Aussie band (or two bands in one!). 'Ghosts: Post-Terminal Reflection' The Best of Spectrum/Indelible Murtceps. A wonderful collection of excellent Australian prog and whimsy.....

Monk
So started with a bit of laid back easy going (well, you know, kinda) music with Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Lift yr. Skinny Wrists Like Antennas To Heaven!. Pretty much just what I wanted to hear. Nice. The reason I wanted something easy going was because I was supposed to be working, but I was struggling with that, as it is Sunday. So Pearl Jam did get spun. But no black circles... And it was all down hill from there... Followed up with Scary Mother. Hell yeah. I used to describe these dudes as a slightly heavier Pearl Jam, but with keyboards. I think that's a fair description. But either way, still one of my favourite Australian albums for sure. Then onto a mates' band with Returns - Sinking Ships. Pretty solid hard rock I reckon. Saw them many times live, so always get me going. Ahh, the memories. Hell, I'm even going to pimp their iTunes link... https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/sinking-ships/id399978334 And hopefully finishing with Cog. I really do need to still do some work. Hopefully those beers this afternoon won't mess my tpying up too much. And hopefully their new album is going to be good. Looking forward to the tour next month, which will be good no matter what material is played.

Guest deanB
Ian Rilen & The Love Addicts- Passion Boots and Bruises I've been a fan of X for many years. This has that real nice edge to it as well. Cheers to the people at Bang Records for what they do, keeping a visceral layer of Aussie rock available. This was €1.99 for the cd. They do plenty of vinyl too, including Boris Sudjovics' albums. Drive By Truckers- Alabama Ass Whuppin Includes a handy definition of the difference between a regular ass whuppin' and the Alabammy version. Includes a stab at covering The Jim Carroll Band' People Who Died Edited January 13, 2019 by deanB
