mrbuzzardstubble
Elmore Judd - Insect Funk This is the second full-length release by North London's Jesse Hackett aka Elmore Judd. Weird, between-the-sheets soul from Tufnell Park. P-Funk running into art-school disco, rock avant-gardism, UK hip-hop, African roots music, a bit of rembetica from Greece, horror soundtracks and jazz. An ecstatic, danceable, menacing record populated by pirates, rats, Snakefinger, dead men and Tron. Drummer Tom Skinner, who played on Elmore Judd's first record Angel Sound, makes a re-appearance on Insect Funk, playing a kit, primitive drum machines, scaffolding poles and pots and pans. A dirty exploration of the scaly underbelly of soul as played by art hobos. - Forced Exposure Edited October 14, 2018 by mrbuzzardstubble

proftournesol
A young Brizzy band that sounds like a modern Go-Betweens. That may have something to do with Louis Forster being a band member, but a good album in its own right

BuzzzFuzzz
Be careful what we wish for. Raining for three days now, starting to get a bit windy too. No sign of easing up yet, hopefully the farmers everywhere are getting it as well. Indoor activities all weekend... Started up today with some Oz Rock... ACDC 'Highway to Hell' 1979 Atlantic Records. flac CD rip. ...followed with my fav ACDC Album, went a little under the radar after the huge 'For Those About to Rock', which I never play, but it has a bit more groove to it... ACDC 'Flick Of The Switch' 1983 Atlantic Records. flac CD rip. The Angels 'Liveline' 1987 Mushroom Records. flac CD rip. I've posted many times about The Angels gigs. This was recorded in 1987 - at their prime, with Jim Hilburn now on bass and giving them a heavier sound. 34 tracks of Angels classics, superbly recorded and sounding fantastic. When I closed my eyes I was right back in The Central Coast Leagues Club. Black Mountain 'In The Future' 2008 Jagjaguwar Records. flac CD rip. ...and finishing with... Animals as Leaders 'The Madness of Many' 2016 Sumerian Records. flac CD rip. Cheers, Ant. Time to batten down the hatches.
hired goon
Chad Lawson - Bach Interpreted: Piano Variations On Bach Chorales -- a bloke wot plays some solo piano interpretations of Bach's choral works. I would normally post this in the Classical Spinning thread, but here the piano is muted and sparse, so it's more like Harold Budd or Nils Frahm than Bach, and should appeal to the usual suspects here. "Name Yer Price" lossless download from Bandcamp. --Geoff Edited October 14, 2018 by hired goon
