metal beat
Sufjan Stevens – Carrie & Lowell. lovely album here from Mr Stevens let down by the typical USA crappy pressing with clicks and zaps over the record enough times to be irritating.

Monk
It's been quite a while since I've listened to any Red Hot Chili Peppers. But I got lent Anthony's biography so I thought it was probably time to revisit. Good to hear it again. Loved the energy they used to have. The book though, it's, tough reading. For me at least, just don't like the writing style I guess. Then where else would you go after the Chili Pepper than Mr. Bungle? Great album. Obviously I should have I should have gone with Californication first up though.

That first Modern Lovers album (below) was a beauty and unfortunately the last from this incarnation of the band in this pre-punk, way ahead of it's time style (although released in '75, it was actually recorded in '71/'72 !!)......what an enigmatic musical genius Jonathan Richman turned out to be. He even fought against the albums release..........before embarking on a pre-'Wiggles' journey, albeit a musically clever and very listenable one (I have three of the follow up albums) Edited July 15, 2018 by stevoz
