Wharfedale Diamond 9.5 towers

function is 10/10, still sound as good as new, very enjoyable speakers, plenty of reviews around I am sure, priced to move

sale includes 8 spikes for feet and the grilles.

appearance is a little shabby, unfortutely. 7/10..

veneers are peeling of course..

My fabulous offspring have pushed the 'noses' (dust caps) in a little, and drawn on the side of one tower.

A touch of white paint on another side from our entertainment unit, a few pins broken from the grilles

I have tried to capture all this with pics

with a little TLC, I'm sure you would see them back at 9/10

i'll leave that to you

located in blue mountains.

Yes, thank you! I paid a bit more for them, that's for sure. Would love to find a new home for them

Vinyl, based on this review from CNET:

Wharfedale Diamond-9-5

They like them lots: Wharfedale's towers may be the best speakers we've heard for less than $1,000

Well they certainly do have a lot going for them.

I suppose the upside of vinyl veneer is it would be cheaper and easier to repair/replace.

I loved them for years as my 2 channel setup, and they sound really good at low volume which is one of my gripes with most gear.

If they are that good sonically and people are concerned with the finish, you could recover them with a real timber veneer for probably less than $200. They seem to be all flat surfaces and square edges so it shouldn't be too hard. Iron-on timber veneer is pretty easy to apply.

They have a lovely old-school Brit sound, a bit on the dark side and they do like a bit of power. Absolutely perfect for an inexpensive shed audio system. The veneer is an easy 2min fix.

Thanks guys for all your encouragement 😎

Yep I think the veneer is still shaped correctly, and not dirty underneath. I should have just stuck it down and not mentioned it. it doesn't seem to split or warp.

Once the kids are both at school, I'll probably have time to potter in the shed again and repair things faithfully, but I really have to keep it simple just now

They have lovely long curves around the sides, and I would need a skilled tradesman anyway, to save me from having to do it twice!

I have a pair of 9.6 with the matching center. The compartment and the drivers were solidly built.

I was thinking to sell them but the current replacement model is made in China; cost $3k; and no curve body.... So I rather to keep the old girls. Still like them a lot.

Hope the next owner like it.

@mugwampjism I didn't mean to imply that you should renovate them. Just in response to the comments and questions about a vinyl wrap, I meant that if a buyer wanted to , they probably could replace it with a real timber veneer.

I know what it's like with young kids - my enthusiasm for DIY projects is low these days. I fondly remember the days when I would take on a project like this, no worries.

Someone should snap these up and just glue the vinyl back on or just leave them as is  and enjoy the sound!

Item Condition: Excellent Shipping Options: Pickup available but audition is not available.,Shipping is available at agreed cost. Suburb or Town: Melbourne State: VIC Payment Method: EFT cash PayPal for friends Reason for selling: NLR Further information: This is a 2.5m pair of speaker cable. Bought from KD Audio. It has WBT next Gen termination.  Please see photo they have plastic guiders but only in end and they aren’t directional.

These sell for $2,700 so this is great value.

Item Condition: Excellent used condition Shipping Options: Pickup available but audition is not available. Suburb or Town: Eastwood State: NSW Payment Method: EFT, cash on pickup, PayID, Paypal Reason for selling: Remodelled home, no longer required I previously offered these speakers with a centre channel, but have now sold that separately - so this listing is just for the towers.

Tannoy's Dual Concentric heritage is well-known, and these beautiful speakers (Espresso colour =  very dark brown) feature 6" DC drivers in beautiful curve-sided cabinets. The Revolution family included a number of models (with flat sides) that were made in Tannoy's partner factory in China. As you can see from the labels, the Revolution Signature models were made in the UK.

I am selling a pair of full-size tower speakers. These feature 1 x 6" DC mid/high driver and 1 x 6" LF driver, as well as a front-facing port finished in brushed metal. These are elegant speakers, with no visible driver mounting screws, and magnetically-attached grilles. The speakers can be bi-wired, but include bridging bars for single wiring.

The speakers are fully functioning, and in great condition. One tower has some minor scratches on the top (these are just indentations in the veneer- there is no removal of colour - see photo). Spikes (never fitted) are supplied (as you can see, I have felt pads on the bottom due to the floor surface the towers were standing on).

I have original cartons for the units (the cartons have been in my ceiling, but appear to be in ok condition now that I have looked at them) - but the size and weight for each carton exceeds what Australia Post will accept as a parcel. If you want shipping, you'll need to arrange with a courier to collect and deliver to you.

I can arrange for you to listen (to confirm all working) - but the amp that I have available for this is just a little Class D module on a Raspberry Pi HAT. So it's not in the same class as the speakers, and I wouldn't really call it an audition!

Item Condition: Great Shipping Options: Pickup available and you can audition. Suburb or Town: Pyrmont State: NSW Payment Method: Cash on pickup Reason for selling: Downsizing For sale a pair of KEF Q100 bookshelf speakers in white finish, and stands. Both were purchased in new by be in 2016, and I'm selling because I have downsized.

These are great speakers, both in sound and looks. I would say they are still in new condition, no blemishes or scratches.

The stands are "TransDeco" branded. I don't know anything about them other than the fact I bought them off Amazon and they look good with the KEFs.

Unfortunately I don't have the original packaging for either speakers or stands, but I don have the original accessories pack including manual and spare baffles, etc.
