Further information:

Up for grab is a new (in a box) SSP12 inner platter for Linn LP12 turntable. An easy upgrade for those who owns LP12 for the 70s/80s and wanting to replace worn out sub platter (noisy sub-platter).

SSP12 is made entirely from stainless steel, except for a brass insert in the platter. To install this on your Linn turntable (cirkus/pre-cirkus) simply remove the old sub platter and insert the new sub platter SSP12. Simple! If you particularly fussy like me and want to go one step further- drain the existing bearing oil, clear the remnant oil and replace with new Linn oil. (black)

I came across this product on you tube and i was curious how good is this product comparing to Linn Cirkus kit and i  bought a few of these. I was amazed how well the sub platter is built. Workmanship is excellent and how silent and smooth it spins when i put it on my LP12.

There are number of reviews online, here is one http://www.hifiaf.com/ssp12/

I have this sub-platter and it is as smooth as.

It also has a very small ball bearing on the tip that helps it glide with ease. You should change the oil (again very easy) if you put this platter in as you don't wont any old gunk from the previous oil clogging the ball -bearing.

It makes a big difference IMO. Those of you who are unaware of Mober, it is top quality work from a member of this forum who lives in Hong Kong, Edmund @Mober .
