Put a ssd in it and watch it come alive.

Was planning on doing this for roon as it was noted that it really needed it but I did not find an issue with using the included spinning HDD. 

Also reading into making servers mechanical hdd are meant to be better for EMF etc vs SSD. Small factor but one to note.

I used mine for Roon without a ssd for 3 years without any issues at all.

 

Added a SSD last year and it's performance is easily as good as my 2016 iMac.

I would not doubt it. SSD s are one of the greatest improvements to computers since they were made.
