Correct use of woofer out on klipsch fives

Recommended Posts

I will soon the the proud owner of klipsch fives, my existing setup is some higher end PC multimedia speakers plugging into the headphone jack on the tv. This is not conventional but they are doin a good job. (Logitech z623)

I noticed that the fives have a single black woofer out RCA plug. I'm told that when used, these small bookshelf speakers accommodate a sub very well.

My question is, can I plug my Logitech speakers into the woofer out on the klipsch fives woofer out - in order to use the sub still. I like the sound of that woofer!

The fives are powered, so are the logitech speakers. I know the I would need to convert the jack to RCA in order to make it work, but is there any reason why I can't plug them in? Plan was to disable the left so right speakers on the logitech so only the bass kicks in
