Further information:

Selling for a good friend who has let me live with this amp since he upgraded but unfortunately this one is out of my pay scale.  It is a bargain however, as it has the optioned DAC module which from my understanding, is the same DAC component as per the Vitus RCD-101 !  Such is the sound of this unit, the owner actually went further up the Vitus chain to a Vitus RI-101 mk2

Retail was over $22k and my time loving this amp over the last few months has me understanding what high end amplification means in terms of dynamics, clarity and tone.  My Gales can turn lesser amps into puddles of molten iron, copper and hot plastic but the Vitus's 300W into 8 Ohm and serious current delivery has had my Gales cleanly louder than other amps I have tried here - including my ME1400 and a borrowed Ayre Twenty.

It categorically has tighter bass than the ME 1400 when plugged into my notoriously current hungry Duntech Crown Prince's. (which really surprised me).

As you can see from the photos, the markings are small and the whole one box thing means that even my wife will miss its looks and any marks can barely be seen whilst in use. I have zoomed right in on the worst of it but it isnt anywhere near as bad when in situ.

The analog inputs work well with my Holo Audio Spring K3.  I only say this in the event that someone has a fave DAC flavour but I should make it clear that the inbuilt dac board is superb and flexible with USB, Toslink, AES and S/PDIF inputs .

It weighs  over 42 kg but with its original box and packaging , the owner is willing to ship at buyers expense.

Hi there. I couldn't say definitively how that would sound but I gather from a recent thread of yours that high frequency clarity and smoothness might be something important to you and the 805D3. I can say with great confidence that in my setup, it presents the top end very well.

Thanks.....was looking if I could use my Benchmark DAC2 as a pre amp however the output input  impendences are way different...ie 60 to 135 ohms on Benchmark vs   22 KΩ  for the Vitus.....

This could be a problem.....

If it means anything, the output impedance of my Holo Audio Spring Dac is around 200 Ohms and is completely fine into the 22kOhm analogue inputs.

I suppose the factor of 10 guideline applies here and sounds good to me.

GLWTS. I’ve had one of these the last few months and am very impressed. It’s done a great job driving a pair of Maggie 3.7s.

btw - the input impedance should not be an issue running from any line level source. High (22k/50k, rca/xlr) input impedance connected to a low (<200ohm) output impedance from a source is how it should be.

I’ve run mine from a Hugo and it sounds amazing.
