2Brix
Hey peeps...I don't have an immediate need, but thinking to get some more XLR-XLR cables a little later this year. Either no-nonsense ready made e.g. https://www.storedj.com.au/mogami-studio-gold-xlr-xlr-mic-cable-6ft or more likely custom made i.e. fancy colours/shrinks = waaaaay betterer sound as proven in countless 'double bling' tests Preference is Mogami or Canare cabling w Neutrik connectors. Budget around $150/pr. Has anyone used Cablesmiths ? Or other recommendations ? Churs...2B
dlr
I’ve just received my NB cable order and I’m very impressed, can thoroughly recommend them. You’ll save some coin on your budget also....for other stuff. https://www.nbspeakercables.com.au/collections/balanced-xlr The cable is manufactured in Australia also. Edited June 30, 2020 by dlr Forgot to mention Aussie made. 2 1

I don't know about price or preference of cabling, but I was happy with what I received.
idiomatically
I get all my cables from NB Speaker Cables, very easy to deal with and the cables are really high quality without being over the top BS.

Very good quality connectors on them and they are not too expensive. That is if you do not pick the silver one which is $600 or something. But the rest start at $50 and are available in 1m, 2m, 3, and 5m. White and green in colour.

Bill125812
Many studios and stage performance companies use the Canare and Neutrik combination. That’s for a reason. I use the same combination when I make XLR cables. Great combo.
Steffen
I recently bought a pair from @es9038pro (audiophile-store.com.au), made from Mogami cable and Amphenol plugs, sheathed in Techflex. They work and look great.
