I'm not sure I have space for one though I am curious. The P3 is just under 3k with the current deal ps audio is running. Normally they’re just under 4k retail. The other one that was mentioned, the p10, is just under 8k retail. They are expensive but possibly the biggest improvement I’ve made beyond updating speakers so a worthy investment. mmv
I wish it were clear cut which cables work well etc. P10 has been a very good investment. But each powercable into it changes the sound =( Haven't thought about changing the fuse however....

I don't think you can research them really. Plug them in, see what it sounds like then repeat! Different cables with different components and depends on how resolving your system is etc. The same cables that sounded good with one component don't do as well with the next upgrade etc... I've heard some super expensive cables recently and wish I hadn't ! =(

I was looking at the cheaper end of the range. Just to have a taste. Are there any cheaper ones you think are worth looking at?
mmv
Ive been using the purple isotek ones, but have been slowly changing out. I like the recent synergistic research cable I got from a friend. I would find some in the classifieds for not too much and see what you think! A lot of hifi shops will let you borrow also.

Guest
@Jhsg mate, don’t get carried away chasing the dragon with Power cables. If you really need to find out, I’ve got both the green cable you mentioned earlier and it’s bigger brother the purple one. You can short term borrow some if you need to figure out that you don’t need them.

I can guarantee you probably won’t hear a difference with cables in a GTG situation. You need your own time with them.

When I remove the HDMI from my AVR it disappears. Assume it’s because the tv / AVR / power amps aren’t sharing the same earth? Problem is the tv power is up on the wall so can’t run it to the power conditioner. Five steps forward - two steps back. I don't know if you can but try running the TV over an optical cable. No interference whatsoever.

I got I would say "same effect" with Behringer Ultra Curve Pro for say 6 times less money, but still playing lotto That thing as you put it is a power regenerator, which by the way is not a power conditioner, your thing, if I understand correctly is basically a graphic equaliser. How does your thing provide the ‘same effect’ as a power regenerator? It anything your thing with it’s internal 100 to 240v switch mode power supply would benefit greatly from getting clean power from the P3. cheers, Terry Edited July 3, 2020 by TerryO

Regarding fuses, the good thing about having a power regenerator is you only have to fit one aftermarket fuse to it rather than a different fuse for every component and it passes on the benefits. Are there benefits? Yes there are I have SR Black fuse in my P10 and it changed the sq of my whole system instantly for the better, I tried another brand of Aftermarket fuse and it made my system sound scratchy and bright. So they do change the sq but not always for the better. Mind you just to infuriate the non believers even more, fuses are directional, so if it doesn’t sound so good fitted one way, take it out and turn it around. One more thing that some won’t believe,, fuses have a burn in period. cheers, Terry Edited July 3, 2020 by TerryO

He was a legendary crazy diyer and his stash of horns and pro drivers found after he shuffled off was like an Alladin's Cave apparently.
