So been going though any and all sources trying to find the best song to trully test my sub/bass out. Honestly nothing can quite hold a candle to Kanye West- Love Lockdown. Was wondering if anyone (after giving it a go) has anything they beleive can match or top it? Eager to hear your replies. I’ll do my best to get to all of them and swing you a reply. Hard gig when kids are asleep but will get to all eventually and compare/rate.

here’s a link for those that have the time. I promise you will not be disappointed. https://open.spotify.com/track/1kxeWHF9PrCVZHvVskv8lg?si=CXHsOvOrQQi9fR6KXnn7vw

So I can definitely see why you picked this song, but unfortunately not even in the same category. If Love Lockdown is a 10, I’d give Harry a 7.

Billie Eilish - Bad Guy

Lenny Kravitz - Here to Love, an acoustic style song, but has the occasional low sub bass which will test your sub.

my small 12 inch pair made me feeling ill ,if I had it turned up too much,

whenever I adjust my subwoofer the song I keep coming back to test it out is the Flaming Lips' "Suddenly Everything Has Changed" from the Soft Bulletin album.  The album contains lots of deep  electronic thumps and groans if that floats your boat, but that song contains several vigorously played runs up and down the fretboard of the bass guitar.  This test if I have an even frequency response throughout the bass range.  The strings are quite heavily plucked giving a strong "leading edge" sound.  I know that if that sound is precisely reproduced then the timing/delay of the subs signal is optimum.  If the notes are blurred and muddy then something is wrong with the delay.

This is from the Diablo soundtrack by Matt Uelmen and I believe not copyrighted.

http://ittaku-subs.net/maggot.mp3

Right click and save as, otherwise it will just play in your browser.

Unfortunately their 15 year anniversary CD the mix was completely different and the bass greatly diminished so that all that remains of the original mix is this mp3 from the game itself.

Ice Cube -Bop Gun

Hey Now - London Grammar also does wonders.

If you want to see (with your eyes)  whether your sub is working, by all means go for some of the songs above, but if you want to integrate your sub so it works best in your room with your speakers, try some female vocals and try to get them to sound natural and well rounded. Once that's done, THEN put on some James Blake and have some fun.
