Further information:

Up for sale is a Bower &Wilkins 686 S2 speaker.

Its a relatively slim sized speaker that might suit smaller space

Condition is still very good as per picture.

Pickup is preferred but can ship at your own expense and risk.

Comes with original box and manual.

Note that there is no rubber feet on it as i used a stand with it and the optional bunghole foam apparently has deteriorated inside the packaging box so its there in the box but i dont think that foam is usable anymore.

Item Condition: Used but well cared for Shipping Options: Pickup available but audition is not available. Suburb or Town: North Rocks State: New South Wales Payment Method: cash on pick up Reason for selling: Upgraded to Klipsch RP-600M as my amp was too weak to drive them properly I bought these Legend speakers from a Stereonet member a few years ago. I was still new to all of this and didn't appreciate the difference between the watts written on the stereo box and current. Needless to say, these little speakers need a fair whack of current. My Yamaha RN-602 had no chance.

I recently purchased some more efficient Klipsch speakers which are singing. Interestingly, I took the Legends to Lifestyle Audio in North Parramatta to do a listening test with the Klipsch speakers. Obviously, a proper amp was used. For the first time I understand why these Legend speakers were so special. It wasn't until "rockier" music was played that the 20 year newer Klipsch taught the Legends a lesson. To be honest, I was already sold on the "bronze" speaker cones of the Klipsch. I wanted them. and hence the Legends are for sale.

I believe (but do not 100% know) they are Kurre's of approx 1998 vintage as it's very tricky to research. I found these 2 review sites.

I bought them from a stereonet member some years ago. I think its excellent buying if you have  a decent amp. No point testing at my place as my amp can not drive them properly. If you buy them and they are not what you want, just bring them back within 3 days (in same condition) and I'll refund your money. It's stupid to keep them in storage thinking I will use them one day. I need to start letting go of items. Maybe I'll move onto some of my records soon (way to many double-ups. I can't help myself).

They are in good 2nd hand condition with normal minor scratches but nothing serious (BTW the George Benson vinyl is not included. Just there to reference size). Pick up is North Rocks (between Carlingford and North Parramatta). I am often in Manly (NSW) if this helps.

BTW - before any smarties suggest the speakers are upside down - they are designed to have the tweeter at the bottom!

      Kind regards, Kierin

Item Condition: Very Good Shipping Options: Pickup available and you can audition.,Shipping is included in price. Suburb or Town: Wamboin State: New South Wales Payment Method: EFT preferred or PayPal Reason for selling: Not being used, recently upgraded to Spendor Classic 4/5 Adelaide Speakers Custom Passive Monitor Speakers (M602TR)

Can honestly say these speakers  compare very well with other brands @ x2 x3 and x4 times the cost. I know because I did a lot of A/B testing before recently upgrading to SPENDOR Classic 4/5's.

These monitors are super accurate and vocals sound particularly sweet through the ribbon tweeters. There are higher level cross-over components, for superb flat, ultra fast response and the ability to produce every micro detail.

They're fairly efficient (90dB) given the size and I was pairing them with low powered SET's without any issues - they sounded great.

There are some very minor dents and marks on the veneer from moving in an out of small bookshelf space - see pic below for more detail.

Item Condition: AS NEW Shipping Options: Pickup available but audition is not available.,Shipping is available at agreed cost. Suburb or Town: Beverly Hills State: New South Wales Payment Method: EFT, Cash on Pickup, Paypal with fees on the buyer unless sent as a personal payment Reason for selling: Cleaning up Further information:
AS NEW condition about 1.5 months old. This is a local stock and i will provide a copy of the invoice for warranty purpose.
They looked pretty good in white actually,  and should appeal to the apple product lover.
Selling as i bought too many budget speakers recently. When comparing this to the PSB speaker which i'm also selling IMO the Q's perform better on a budget amp but the PSB sounds better when its paired with a better amp.
Pickup is preferred but i do have the original box so in theory shipping is also possible at an agreed cost.
Since there are people asking, the estimated standard postage to VIC or QLD is $26.90 but please Let me know of your postcode so i can get a more accurate quote from Australia post website.
