stylus timer

Recommended Posts

This is probably similar to kitchen count up/down timers that are a few dollars from China/eBay.

Another option - costing a few dollars used by some to count stylus hours is this mechanical clicker - no worries about batteries dying.  Click for each LP side played.  Hours can be calculated by multiplying the clicks by 25 (or what you think your average LP side playing time is) for total minutes, then dividing by 60 for total hours.  Approximate, but close enough.

That is extremely cool, TB.  :thumb:

But what did you have to 'keep count' of, on a Singer sewing machine?

It's from a mechanical knitting machine, not a sewing machine. I've got no idea how they work, just found this spare part at an opshop.

This is what I have except it's mounted on a stand. then keep the results in a spreadsheet for each cartridge

Good for counting music with vocal tracks, but can it be used for instrumental music?  ?
