Please forgive the newbie question, but I wonder why these only go down to 53Hz, being 3-way with a crossover at 300Hz? Many 2-way speakers will go down to 40Hz or slightly lower from what I've seen - am I missing something? Not trying to detract from the sale, just trying to learn :) 

 

BTW I also love the room - are you replacing the speakers at all?

I am newbie too, I guess the old speaker does not go down as much as the newly design speaker. 

Yes I will replace with something more modern floor speaker.
