Papajero Posted May 23, 2020 Share Posted May 23, 2020 Hi, Ive been a member for a while but just now getting to posting as I'm on the hunt for some new audio gear. Looking for CD player, amp and speakers and Im attacking the stereonet classifieds with zest. Now to tell a story of abject stupidity... I bought a Marantz PM80 amp and CD60SE player brand new back in the 90's and it was fine for many years till the amp output starting cutting out intermittently at higher volumes. I had the amp repaired but it played up again after about 6 mths so it sat in my cupboard for several years. Some time ago (2yrs +-) I threw it in the bin! Come yesterday and I have a look online at old PM80's for sale on eBay. They sell for over $1000 still. D'oh!!! Now, I have moved house from WA to Victoria at the start of the year and can't find the CD player. Like I said in the first sentence...
