May I humbly suggest that if you are looking for good value audio enhancers then a bottle of good Scotch is hard to beat 😎

Here's me thinking it was Starship

Interestingly (?) it's the reo in reoconcrete that has a weak magnetic field.  Don't know if anyone can hear any affect though.

That might explain why REO Speedwagon sounds like it does

No. They build their city on rock and roll, not concrete.

Wouldn't you want to wrap them in tin-foil...

Not required if the listeners head already has the foil helmet 🤣

On a serious note. Can you actually hear a difference with cables off the ground? I'm all for cable upgrades, but I'm a bit sceptical on this one.

I can't visualize how if you had good quality shielded cable, why you would need to do this. Or am l missing something here?

And what if your speaker cable is laying on carpet? Would that not negate the concrete thing anyway? And don't these so called cable raises have to made from wood?

Yep, l know, another round of back and forths.😄

I'm skeptical although I know otherwise intelligent people who swear they can hear a difference. My theory is the act of bending over to lift the cables caused wax to shift in their ears 😀

Depending on who you ask, yes, no, and maybe. Count me as part of the "no" group.

...and me also strongly.

However what people do and buy is none of my business either, so if , for some unknown reason, there is a perceived  benefit then I wish them well and much happy listening and for $11.50 there is very little to lose unless you walk on them.

It’s a bit hard balancing the cables on top of the bottles though

C'mon, combine a nicely made foil hat, some booze, and a set of artisanal cable lifters and you'd be in audio heaven 🤣

To be honest, I reckon this device, along a similar line of thought, has a more practical application.

Lifter

You'd need three, because any three points lie in the same plane.

The theory is that carpet can have static electricity in it that can badly influence the signal going through your cables. To de-bunk this theory I'd say that as the electricity is static, there's actually no current running so there's no magnetic field to create that bad influence.

Just put an earth stake through your carpet into the ground and all your problems are solved. Until the missus trips over the stake though, that's when the fighting starts.

We sell these at work at various heights, should put a Audiophile price on them.

Say $100 each, Bag of 100 for $9999 discounted.🤣

For even more improvement, you can stick these on all the components inside your gear.

I'll get back to my Tullamore Dew now...

Do you have some spare ones you would like to sell?

Actually I think the OP's risers are a great idea for people with suspended wooden floors. After you have them all laid out, instead of putting the cables on them, you could install reo mesh and concrete over the top.

An excellent idea - and cheap to experiment with.  :thumb:

Cable risers (whether it's for spkr cables, interconnects or power cables) is such an off-the-wall topic that you will never get a unanimous vote.

So you need to try it out yourself - at $11.50 ... that's a cheap experiment!  :)

And no, I don't think they must be made of wood (that's even more off the wall!!  :) ).

Actually I have gone with the free ones you get when you buy fresh fruit these days. The organic ones seem so much more...... well, organic.

Funnily enough I actually do use them!  Not for soundQ improvement but so I don’t accidentally step on my cables and to place some physical separation bt power and signal cables. As the OP said , cheap as.

Haha I can barely look at those sideways photos for a few seconds...without getting a sore neck...

So frankn – you found no improvement in sound from using them?

Cheers

You stole my idea, but will they work because they are not rhodium plated. 😀
