astroboydivx1
Hi everyone, I currently have a Raspberry Pi with an Allo Boss DAC that is used as a Roon (Tidal) streamer to my Onkyo integrated amplifier and onto my LS50's. I'm soon going to be upgrading the Onkyo to either a Rega Elex-R or Elicit-R and in preparation want to address an issue I have with my streamer. And that is, whilst Roon and Tidal are great, I'm thinking of cancelling their services and simply using YouTube Music (part of the YouTube Premium package). So I'm wondering how I can stream music to the Raspberry Pi DAC, then out to my amplifier. Any advice? Thanks!

suffring
I use Volumio as the software on my Pi and play Spotify through it from my iMAC. Should be able to do the same with You Tube.
pwstereo
Volumio appears under Airplay & Bluetooth Devices when you use the cast button in player apps like YouTube. I don't normally use mine like that, but it does work.
StuDog78
You might know this but you can play Tidal without Roon though the Pi if your trying to save some coin.
