Six years old, used briefly with SS gear before going to tube amps. I found it adds a  more mellow sound to solid state gear, especially if added after a CD player or an MP3 device, but before the amp.

The MK I came with one tube, the later MK II came with 2 X 6J1 tubes, which can be rolled with the following tubes:  6AK5, EF95, 5654

Comes with 2 spare tubes.

Had the same unit a while back between Dac and the amp. Added just enough tube character without detracting from detail or clarity. A good way to dip a toe in the tube waters or to smooth out a 'bright' source for not much outlay. I went all tubes after this so beware :)
