I come across slipmats  now and then amongst record collections I purchase. Although I own a couple of SL 1200 , I do not have a use for them. This one is used to stop the zip on Rolling Stones ,Sticky Fingers damaging the cover of the record in front of it, So afraid I am unable to tell you any thing about it.

no clever wording, but thought they looked striking when I ordered them last year.  unfortunately couldn't use them as they were not properly finished to be smooth on the surface.

What's that made of, Peter?

Andy

Hi Andy,

TBH I’m not sure. It’s about 1mm thick and has a flexible structure.

I have taken a close up photo.

Much like the Les Davis mat, my Soundeck Mat uses CLD (constrained layer damping). Not using it atm, it’s a little heavy.

The Les Davis mat is very light.

I also have a Les Davis mat. Different artwork.

It’s a bit like the old reversible jackets you can flip it over for a plain silver finish.
