What height centre of screen should be off the floor. I’m guessing 1100mm.
I’m sure it’s been covered but I’m new to visual.

Just measured mine and it's pretty much bang on your 1100mm guess.

It seems like a good height when sitting on my couch.

Mine is a 65" screen with a low stand/plinth height, sitting on a 645mm AV cabinet.

Hey @Brucec for me 63" (160cm) diagonal screen, wall mounted with screen centre at approx 130cm high.

I went maybe a little higher than visually ideal cos' i wanted a generous clearance between top of AV cabinet (65cm tall) and bottom of screen fascia (87cm) to leave the option of having a tall centre speaker or tall component (e.g. turntable) sitting atop the cabinet without obscuring the screen.

The screen centre is above eye height, haven't tried to measure, but relative to the viewing distance (320cm) i've never found it awkward or uncomfortable.

There would be plenty of discussions on line i'm sure but go with whatever suits your own circumstances.

usual recommendation is bottom of the screen should be at minimum eye level. or lower so eye level is in bottom 1/3rd of screen :)

in my case its between 800-850 depending on telly or projector screen :)

reason for this is you really don't want t one looking too far down or too far up. otherwise end up with a crook neck :D

The screen is 43” flat against the wall. It’s a Sony TV. I think I’ve got the height sorted for me, that’s 1000mm from floor to bottom. Thanks everyone, it’s still not up so further suggestions welcome.

Technically eye level should be in bottom 1/3 of the screen

😊

I have my projector screen eye level at the 1/3 up mark and it’s perfect

if you are using recliners you can go slightly higher

cheers

sorry as you posted in the projector/screen thread i guessed this was about a pj screen..

best to cut a piece of cardboard the size of your tv and blu tack to the wall, sit in your chair and decide if height is ok.

Thanks for your help everyone. I’ve settled on bottom of screen 1060mm above the floor. A bit higher than I originally planned but it works perfectly for me.
