Hi All,

Not a single movie, but a collection of  7 movies, Lone Wolf and Cub, set in Feudal Japan, Lone Wolf and Cub, is the story of Ogami Ittō, the Shōgun's Executioner who uses a dōtanuki battle sword. Disgraced by false accusations from the Yagyū clan, he is forced to take the path of the assassin.

Jodorowsky's Dune (2014)

Imagine if he'd completed this  project! This is a great doco!

< In 1975, Chilean director Alejandro Jodorowsky, whose films EL TOPO and THE HOLY MOUNTAIN launched and ultimately defined the midnight movie phenomenon, began work on his most ambitious project yet. Starring his own 12 year old son Brontis alongside Orson Welles, Mick Jagger, David Carradine and Salvador Dali, featuring music by Pink Floyd and art by some of the most provocative talents of the era, including HR Giger and Jean ‘Moebius’ Giraud, Jodorowsky’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic sci-fi novel DUNE was poised to change cinema forever. http://sonyclassics.com/jodorowskysdune/ >

Kill Bill (both volumes) reminds me of an earlier Gordon Lui movie - Return to the 36th Chamber...

Sometime in the 1980s I encountered a seriously weird film called, Freaks  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freaks_(1932_film)

Quite disturbing and perhaps it shouldn't have been made. Not recommended.

RZA of Wu-Tang Clan did the music for this flick and he worships Gordon Lui and Return to the 36th Chamber.

I like Ghost Dog (It's around on DVD somewhere). Also the Takeshi version of Zatoichi and Blind Fury with Rutger Hauer.

The whole Outrage trilogy is good, however the opener from 2010 is still the best.
