bryansamui
You'd pay more than $300 for someone to refinish a 'Small Stick' in Black Lacquer. So this is a bargain. GLWTS.
Saxe
These are the original release 11l's and they certainly punched above their weight, I used to really like the pair that In had. GLWS. Price is right.

Fantastic little speaker with an absolutely to die for piano gloss finish. These would be a welcome addition to many households. To any of the new members just starting out on the ladder in audiophile land...these speakers are a fantastic match with any vintage Sansui amp(for instance but a nice vintage Pioneer or any of the 70/80's brands would do in a pinch) you want to mention(I have both) and they also oddly enough love heaps and heaps of power, try them with a pre/power combo for instance or some big SS amps and you'll be very very surprised at just how well they handle it. They image really well and classical music at a reasonable level is a great choice. They lack a little bottom end but you'd expect that from standmounts this size. Shouldn't last too long and GLWTS OP.
